Look into the world, into the shape of the world.(...)Groans and curses will pursue you, chase after you.You are as powerful as God, who bears the world on his shoulder. The Harvest refers to the rituals accompanying harvest and the cycle of husbandry, nature and human life, conceptualised ethnographically (inspired, among others, by Oskar Kolbergs studies and Zofia Kossaks Polish Year), as well as anthropologically and philosophically. The narrative axis of the show is delineated by the trope of the return of Odysseus, based on Homers classic epic and Stanisław Wyspiańskis The Return of Odysseus.

It begins at its intersection with Pedder Street and Des Voeux Road Central in the west, and ends at Murray Road in the east.

Crossover Stage Play From East To West

The concept of art theatre, which features theatrical elements, has been formed by taking music as the core and combining it with the ideas of multimedia vision and installation art. Eight works are presented as an attempt to explore from different dimensions and spiritual temperament the "modern Western interpretation of the traditional Eastern spirit". Music, media, installation and other artistic techniques play a leading role in the works: the enthusiastic Xinjiang-style meets the deep restrained Blues with the help of the traditional chamber music, dancers dance freely in the New Age style for the string quartet, the dialogue between the modern a cappella and the traditional morin khuur constitutes a wonderful polyphony, and the beats in the music transcend the boundary of races. Following the concept of the post-theatre, From East to West has attached equal importance to the music and other elements of the theater. Unlike the music or theatrical theater, it makes elements such as painting, performing, music, dance and drama different roles on the stage, generating a new tension in the same space as time goes by. This is also what is peculiar to a crossover art theater.

Ramesh Meyyappan is an internationally renowned visual theatre artist, whose last major work Butterfly was a huge hit at Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2016 Off-Kilter is a dark, comedic, highly physical production, incorporating illusions and masterful, non-verbal storytelling.Joe Kilter has his own daily ituals-some even call it obsessive. But then a sudden change in his routine turns his world askew: Joe Kilter goes Off-Kilter. Feeling increasingly isolated, his life feels impossible, until he is forced to exist in darkness.Off-Kilterexplores mental wellbeing, identity, feeling a little bit different from everyone else, and not quite being yourself.

Dance Drama Wedding Carriage

Jiulian, with her iconic lotus feet, was a women living under the yoke of patriarchal rules. However, Jiulian never stopped her fighting against the social conventions, and loved bravely following her inner calls. Born like a reed in a ruthless fire, Jiulian was doomed to be devoured by all the social chains upon her. Loving and beloved, but discriminated and unrecognized, she finally fell into her ultimate destiny. This piece of work combines Jiulians life story with elements of Chinese Folk Dance to present a womans fate in a traditional society through modern dancing arts.

Contemporary Guzheng with Chamber Orchestra Metamorphosis-“I Am The Silk Road”

Cocoon–Metamorphosis I Am The Silk Road used modern composition method, western musical instruments, electronic music samples, Jazz, Chinese folk music, religions music, ancient court music and local opera elements. It seeks true harmony and connection of the eastern and western music by taking elements of Chinese philosophy and arts into a contemporary context that reflects Wangs cross-cultural life experience.This piece is composed for a chamber formation that includes violin, contra bass, electronics, shakuhachi, bass trombone, saxophone and percussion, to create delicate textures that express both a yearning for home and the restless urge to travel and discover the new.Cocoon–Metamorphosis I Am The Silk Road traces Wangs personal journey from her musical beginnings in the traditions of the guzheng through to her involvement with the avant-garde scene in London and Australia.

Physical Theatre Pu Songling Shorts

The program is the result of the collective creation of outstanding young actors of Yunnan Provincial Theatre Company and the young backbone teachers of Yunnan Arts University in the training process of "Yunnan Provincial Youth Drama Senior Talents Physical Drama Training International Workshop" instructed by the Canadian Smith Gilmore Troupe. Four of the performances were selected.

In the vast depths of the ocean, an uncommon voice joins the singing of the other whales. Ordinary whales sing at a frequency of 15-40 Hz, but this special whale sings at 52 Hz.What does this mean?It means that other whales can never hear its voice, and so it sings an unrequited song. This dream is not the dream of one girl, but of all girls: each of us faces the world alone. But when this dream becomes an eternal nightmare, or perhaps when the girl willingly confuses the dreamworld and reality, at this time, she becomes the lonely whale, transformed into a holy warrior, who dedicates herself to realizing her destiny.This play is not so much a reflection on the relationship between parents and the millennials, but rather is an expression of the challenges that the younger generation will face as future parents.

Playlet: Merry-go-round

The"Merry-go-round"tells four stories about love, each lasting about 15 minutes. "1-45" tells of the memories of one youth and one girl on the bus; "19:56" initiates a bedtime love discussion; "Goodbye my dancer" looks for a lifesaver Among thousands of people; and"Marry Go round"sends ones ex-girlfriend a way for the last time. Love has always been like a Merry-go-round in a playground. Some people are sitting on and off, and some are watching at the side. Someone sitting and laughing, Someone is dizzy, Someone looking forward and someone giving up. Is love a fairy tale or nothingness?

Experimental Drama: A picture of a fox

At Zixu county, there is a scholar named Hesheng who obsessed with painting ghosts and foxes. After he hears that Taoist priest Wang have once met a fox 30 years before, he comes to the Wangs Taoist temple to find out. It was just when Hubugui, a fox disguised herself as a girl came to the temple, who wants to catch the heartbreaker Wang for her aunt. While when the talented man meet the pretty girl, they fall in love with each other. At the same time, Bai Wuxia, the daughter of prime minister, who admires Hesheng and disguised herself as a fox comes to the temple. Between human and fox, there are two legendary stories have been traced.

Musical Sitcom: A Drop of Tears

Based on the relationship of the characters in the movie of the classic A Chinese Odyssey, the drama depicts, in the form of a comedy, the complicated on-and-off romance between the hero Zhi Zunbao (Monkey king)and the heroine ZiXia (a fairy )to express that true feelings of the world will come but once.The whole play begins with a comedy skit, and brings the theme song "the love of life" in the middle, then goes with dance and martial arts performance.It is indeed a creative music sitcom which emphasizes the scene atmosphere through a fusion of the music, physical performance and drama performance.

Drama：I Am the Wind

Reading the work of Joern Fosse---the minimalist playwright ,I feel like opening the box of definitions: the ethical relationships of parent ,brother,sister and teacher, the symbols of you , me ,him, her,it, man and woman and the class identifications of capitalist, farmer, the poor and the rich.Definition is a limit, it limits the boundary of time and memory and reality and illusion. Playwright very enjoyed the process of unsolved . short sentences, a large area of blank and pause centered on sincere relationship, emotion and unrest.The imaginative ship that Fosse created in the theater is an exist of breaking all definition . It can use any appearance and exist in any space. Bedroom reveals the spirit world of the character who behind Fosses literature which is a highly symbolic carrier. The body of the actor and actress become a precisive instrument which shows emotion and dramatic scene and a media that telling story. Their body also show us the division between flesh and thought, closely related fate, summon the light of hope in sorriness and create an linkage with audiences unrest and blank in thirst. The theater finally begin to refute.

Contemporary Dance: The Shadow

You cant see the real you, and what you see is your shadow.The shadow said，"I exist in the light of light.""I am the other side of the world for all things in the world"."Im cruising under those visible relationships.""I am on the side of those unknowable secrets.""When I tear up the contract and decide to betray, will you choose to listen to my inner voice? We are neglecting the existence of our shadows, and at the same losing warmth when we make contact with other people. Perhaps we dont have any imagination on our shadows anymore, but we always tend to forget, how close we are with them: When youre alone and anxious you can hear your shadow screaming, while you yourself are also struggling desperately and meaninglessly.By repeating, twisting and overlapping, this dance work reorganized our body movements in order to illustrate the theme: our shadows and us. It was also the director trying to communicate with the ‘unknown me through the ‘me at presence- and so to perhaps see the ‘real me, or at least inspect it from a third partys point of view.

Drama：Lover

Mengpo is a lady serves in Diyu, the Chinese realm of the dead. She stands in front of the bridge of Diyu. Her task is that give each soul who across the bridge a tea of forgetfulness. During this process, she forgets herself, her lover, and her memory. As a result, when her lover across the bridge she miss him. What is seen is a heartless person as on situation could become the most emotional person in another situation. When Mengpo finds her memory, her heart will return.

Chengjun, the leader of the town ,command numerous officersand soldiers to tussle with ‘Tan, unfortunately, they were dead. Chegnjuns wife died for love, and left the only son named luankun. Berore her death, shemake her son swear to go to Penglai to learn skills from celestial being, and come back to avenge his father when he get all skills.

Drama: The birdman

We all think deeply about the meaning of life ,so does the birdman .He thinks since god gives him wings , the value of life must be flying . He trys to find men who are the same as him ,to share and enjoy the happiness of flying together . But people around him dont care about his exploration about the value of life.Whats worse ,they force him to be assimilated , and the birdman is hurt and put in chains finally .That is our so-called communication ,and that is the difficulty of achieving the value of life .

Drama：The Broken

Drama：The world turned upside down
